ODBDSLC239: Inspiration Challenge

Good morning!  I hope your week is starting off well.  I have a cheerful and CAS card to share with you today for the ODBD Inspiration Challenge this week.  I love butterflies and watercolor so I combined the two.  The butterflies were cut from watercolor paper that I had done some washes over using some bright vivid colors with the new Fancy Fritallary Die.  I used the same die to do some negative die-cutting out of a white layer made using the pierced rectangle from ODBD Flourished Star Pattern.

I popped up this negative layer using lots of foam tape after stamping a verse from the Doily stamp set.  I then glued the butterflies flat against the card base.

  5. Just have to reply to your comment about the colors I used. I would not have thought of orange and purple together before seeing fields of Cali. poppies and purple lupine growing together, it is the most beautiful sight! that is how it is around where I live in the Sierra Mtns. I've used that combo ever since the first time I saw them.
thank you also for your sweet comment. It is wonderful having friends to work with!
