Another Valentine card made with a red and black color scheme.  I used Simon Says Stamp clipping hearts with some dies and stamps by Divinity Designs including the Happily Ever stamp set.

Popping in with a quick post with a card I made at my latest craft play date.  Gold embossing with the Concord & 9th  You make the World a Better Place.

Love that you're my friend

I'm trying to be more intentional about letting my friends know that I am thinking of them.  This is one of the cards I made for a friend with that intention - she likes pink! - and one that I can have fun playing around with different colors.

I used the Simon Says Clipping Heart die with Distress Inks.  The "love" die is by Quietfire Design (and available at Elizabeth Craft Designs) and I typed up "That you're my friend" and printed it up on cardstock.

Love how clean and fresh this card looks!

Another round of the LOVE cards

Hello, here are some more cards I made with the same die set from this month's Spellbinders small die set.  I made this rainbow background and die cut the LOVE out of it.  The little dog from Mama Elephant's Playful Pup stamp set.

I used the LOVE die cuts and put it onto my second card:

My last card I made into a yellow and green baby card - great colors to have in case you don't know if you need a baby boy or baby girl card.  The "Baby" is a die available at Quietfire Design and Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Spellbinders January Small die set

 Hi, there!  Popping in real quick to share with you a few cards I made with the Spellbinders January Small die set.  I die cut them several times to just play around with.  Since I didn't have many plain sentiments to finish the card, I typed up several on Word and printed them out on cardstock. 

I really liked how this second one turned out - it was relaxing just to take my Zig clean color brush markers and draw in the leaves and flowers. 

For this last one, the LOVE was covered with Dragon Berry Modern Gilding Powder.  Love the look!

ODBD February Release

Welcome to the February release for Our Daily Bread Designs!  Though my designs are definitely Valentine-themed, these stamps and dies can be used for many other occasions.  (You'll see some great inspiration by hopping along with the other designers below.)

I love using the dies that were meant for the Glorious Gable box to make inlaid die cuts on the cards. The background color peeps through and it gives a very elegant look to otherwise simple layouts.The large stamp is a single Happy Valentine's Day stamp.      

On the second card, I used just the Heavenly Hearts on a white pierced square against a red mat.  I then stamped an elegant little message from Let Love Grow below.

Script love

Hello!  Today I am using a new die from Quietfire Design A Way With Words line.  It's from a set called "Baby love" but I used just the delicate love to make a Valentine's Day card.  I am casing  a card by Suzanne Cannon - you can see the original card (and many other beautiful ones HERE. at 0:35)  I first made a thin red mat to go with the script love.  The heart is Simon Says Stamp Heart of Roses - just a single layer of the die cut in white.  Any heart die will work.  

Since the love is so delicate, I used red cardstock adhered to double sided adhesive and then die cut it out so that I could stack it on top of each other four times.  

Sorry for the overcast tone - it's been cloudy here for the past few days.

Baby Love

ODBD February Pre-Order

Hello!  Are you ready for the next holiday?  It's Valentine's Day and ODBD is having a special pre-order on some gorgeous love themed stamps and dies.  But these aren't just for Valentine's Day (though we do want you to have them in time to create some beautiful projects for your loved ones.)  The Gable boxes can be for any reason - birthdays, wedding favors, treat boxes - the only limit is your imagination.  

My first project is using the Gable boxes with the Heavenly Heart insets and other heart dies to make this great treat box.  Before I put the box together, I sponged the score lines for a softer feel to the box.  I then added the red and white hearts as accents.

Isn't it just adorable?  And in case you were wondering, the die fits a regular Big Shot though you do want to use at least a 6" wide sheet to cut it out.

My second project is a CAS card using the same  color palette. I just love that Tulip Heart die!  I placed a red heart behind it to emphasize the heart cutout in the middle.

Raining Love

Continuing with this week's challenge at CCNS, I made another red and white card with hearts.  I taped white card stock trimmed with the largest Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A to the Memory Box Heart Confetti Stencil. Then I used the paste spreader for quick work with the Dreamweaver's white embossing paste.  While it was drying, I stamped the I Love You Alphabet by Quietfire Design and trimmed with circle dies.  To add to my confetti look, I used the little hearts from largest die from the Spellbinders Heart Circle set.  With the Art Institute glue, I adhered them so that it would look like it was raining hearts.

I love you alphabet

Hello!  Now that Christmas is over, I'm ready for the next holiday:  Valentine's Day!  Of course, you can send love notes any time of the year - it may even be more meaningful then but sometimes we just need a national reminder!  

I used the I Love You Alphabet on a corner of white cardstock and markers to color the stamps two different colors.  I then added a couple of heart dies just for a little more pop of color. 

This is just such a clever design - I love it!

Love you

I'm starting on my Valentine's Day cards this week.  The holidays just seem to keep coming!  :)

I used the new Love die by Quietfire Design on gold foil. I went through my stash of dies looking for any tiny heart dies so that I could make use the negative cuts for my background.  And in an attempt to capture that that the white layer was popped up against the red base layer, my red is looking rather orangey red.  

To continue the message, you have to *open* up the card for the inside where I used the "you" part of the thank you die by Quietfire Design.
