Nothing says spring is here more than daffodils and tulips - and it's definitely spring over at Our Daily Bread Designs. For the March release, you'll see lots of tulips, daffodils, and many other colorful blooms.
My sample uses one of the new stamp sets very subtly. Can you tell which one I used?
Tulips are one of my favorite flowers - and apparently the deers around here love them too so I have to make myself content with stamps and paper tulips. To make this card, I clear embossed the Tulip stamp around the edges. I then masked portions at a time to sponge the different colors using distress inks and then a green Zig watercolor brush for the leaves.
I then threaded a very thin ribbon across the medium-sized die cut of the Circle Scalloped Rectangles and popped up that layer in the center of the tulip background. Finally, I added a tiny sentiment from the same stamp set framed with a tiny die from Ornate Ovals and Bitty Butterflies.
My second card uses the same products but I weaved the ribbon in a diagonal instead. I love how soft it is!
