Mothers hold...

Does anyone else send cards to not just your own mother but to those who have been like a mother to you at some point in your life?  I do - I am so thankful for them.  So I like to make Mother's Day cards more elaborate and special.  I think this beautiful quote is just sweet  and really shows appreciation for moms.

I framed it using Spellbinder's Majestic Squares and shortened Sue Wilson Spanish Collection - Seville Dies.  I hid the line where I connected the two piece with a piece of seam binding and added some Wild Orchid Flowers and a triple bow on the bottom.  The paper is from ODBD Shabby Rose Collection - perfect for a soft background.  The sentiment was stamped with Momento Luxe Nautical Blue and embossed with clear embossing powder.

  1. Oh, Diana.....this is absolutely STUNNING. Not only do I LOVE this sentiment, but you've adorned it SO beautifully. The frame sets it off so nicely, and it's just beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing piece of art in our challenge this week. I'm continually blessed by the cards you share in our challenges.

  2. I do that too. i lost my own Mom, but I have the world's best MIL, plus a woman who helped raise me since 16 as the mom of my best childhood girlfriend, an adopted mom next door, plus I send them to all three God mothers for the kiddos! ;-)

  3. I forgot to say i bought the same sentiment to use last week, though in a font I like far less... So I totally second your thinking on how and to whom!

  4. Wow, this is perfection. I just love everything about it! So happy you joined us at our Challenge this week at Word Art Wednesday. Leaving you with the the comfort only God's Word can provide in John 6:47-48 which was spoken by Jesus saying, "Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life." Have a great weekend and God bless!
