My planner and Bible Art Journaling

Hello!  I'm recovering from a week of snow days.  :)  I can't play and create as much when the kids are all home but I'd love to share with you something that has been nothing short of amazing for me.  It's the Confident Mom weekly household planner.  It's a game changer!  My house is getting cleaned without me being overwhelmed and for the first time in years, yes YEARS, I am on top of laundry.  I used to have 6 baskets of clean laundry in my room and the kids would dig through their basket for their clothes.  I had no problem washing and drying... the sorting was weekly, the folding... even less and the putting away ... laughable!  Now no more cringing when unexpected guests arrive... the house is not perfect by any stretch but I'm no longer running around franctically picking things up, yelling at the kids, and the kids asking, "Who's coming?" whenever we clean.  I even drink water more often with this planner.  Truly, nothing short of amazing.  She's thought of everything!  So check it out - it's free and it can't hurt.

Here are some other things I've been working on during my devotions.

I tried gesso on this page so that my Micron pens would not bleed through too much.  Though it did the job, it wrinkled my paper more than I would like.  Also it is hard to erase pencil marks on gesso and watercolor doesn't move as well.  Not sure if I would this particular gesso again.

On this last one, I used ODBD On Eagles' Wings.  MUCH easier than trying to draw an eagle and since I didn't like how my previous one turned out, I went the safe route.  :)  I sponged the skies using some cloud die cuts to mask and used blue and purple Micron pens for my lettering.

We're expecting a little bit more snow.  I sure do hope it's not enough to cancel school again!

Stay warm and safe!
