ODBD269 Something New, Something Old

Welcome to the ODBD Shining the Light Challenge.  The challenges are now a month long and this year's first challenge is Something New, Something Old.  I do hope you have some new crafty goodies over Christmas to go with your current supply.  It doesn't have to be "new" new - new to you works too!

Of course, I had to use this month's new release Wishing Well for my focal point.  I stamped and watercolored the image and then matted it using the the Rectangle Dies and Double Stitched Rectangles Dies.  I then created another layer with some favorite oldies:  the pierced rectangle from Flourished Star Pattern and a sheet from Rustic Beauty paper collection. I also added a double stacked Wishing Word die cut and a partial sentiment from the same stamp set.  The little ribbon banner was hand cut and popped up (tip:  I find it easier to cut a wave by hand than trying to cut a perfect little rectangle with the paper trimmer for tiny sentiments.)

And please check out my other CT sisters Chris and Robin for more wonderful inspiration!
To see all the projects created for this challenge or to join in the fun click here. You have until January 31, 2015 at 8:00pm EDT to join us. (Note that the challenge is now month long!) By participating in the challenge, you have a chance to win a  $15 ODBD Gift Certificate good towards the purchase of stamps in the “stamps column” on the ODBD website, or to be spotlighted on the ODBD Blog at our next challenge. The random prize winner will be posted on our next challenge post. Please do not post on Flicker as many of us do not have the ability to comment on your cards nor can we spotlight your cards on the blog.
