I just got my package from Classy Cards 'n Such recently and I was so excited to play with my new toys. This lily from My Favorite Things has been on wish list for a while. I made a quick card based on this week's The Cutting Edge Challenge. I love this week's inspiration with the floral spray against a wide mat and rounded corners. I can see using this layout often - especially as I play with different colors and coloring the lily. For now, I kept it simple - bold colors against a neutral brick background.
Recipe:
Dies: My Favorite Things Lily
Paper: SU Raspberry Ripple, Bazzill Guacamole, scrap pink and tan card stock.
Accessories: Tim Holtz brick embossing folder

Your textured background works so well with the beautiful flowers! Thanks for joining us this week at The Cutting Edge Challenge!
ReplyDeleteDiana, what a wonderful idea! The softness of the flower against the rough texture of the brick. Perfect balance!
